Carnival in Sciacca – The float that symbolises the Carnival parade features Peppe Nappa, an allegorical character dating back to the nineteenth century, traditionally burnt on a bonfire at the peak of the Carnival celebrations around him are other papier mâché characters typical of the Carnival in Sciacca.
Carnival in Putignano - Falstaff, the fat, boastful knight created by Shakespeare around him, characteristic figures of the event. Top right is the head of “Farinella”, a character from Puglia typical of the Carnival in Putignano.
