ISSUE DATE: 6 May 2016
STAMP SIZE: 40 x 30 mm

After the successful two-phase external audit conducted by TUV Rheiland Philippines Inc., the ORG-ARMM (Office of the Regional Governor (ORG) in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM)) acquired its eligibility for the certification in just eight months, the fastest issuance of ISO certification in history of a government office. For more than 20 years, the ARMM was labelled as a “failed experiment” because of lack of political and fiscal autonomy and poor administration. But due to the management and administrative reforms for the past four years championed by Regional Governor Mujiv S. Hataman and supported by his secretaries and heads of offices, the region has achieved unprecedented accomplishments in his commitment to pursue a reformed regional government.

ARMM is composed of the provinces of Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, Sulu and Tawi-tawi, and the cities of Marawi and Lamitan. The preparation of the ORG for the ISO certification was assisted by the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP).

ISO 9001:2008 is an internationally recognized quality management standard which specifies Quality Management System requirements focused on an organization’s ability to meet and improve customer satisfaction and quality requirements.
